Mobile Development Training That Actually Prepares You
Look, most training programs dump theory on you and hope something sticks. We spent eight years learning what actually works when apps break at 3 AM and users are furious. That experience shaped every module we teach.
Talk About Your Goals
Find Your Starting Point
Different backgrounds need different approaches. We're not going to waste your time teaching what you already know or skip over fundamentals that matter.
Coming from traditional software?
You know how to code, but mobile has its quirks. Battery management, network interruptions, varied screen sizes. Our October 2025 intensive focuses on what's genuinely different, not basic programming concepts you mastered years ago.
New to programming entirely?
Starting from scratch means building solid foundations. Our March 2026 beginner program runs longer because rushing fundamentals creates problems later. We've seen it too many times.
Managing technical teams?
You need to understand mobile development without becoming a full-time developer. Our executive overview in September 2025 covers enough technical depth to ask the right questions and spot problems early.
What You'll Work On During Training
Theory matters, but muscle memory comes from repetition. Every week includes hands-on troubleshooting sessions where things will break and you'll need to figure out why.
- Debug real crashes from production apps we've collected over the years
- Optimize performance on actual older devices, not just simulators
- Handle API failures and network timeouts the way they happen in reality
- Review code as a team, learning to spot issues before deployment
- Build features under time pressure to simulate client deadlines
Casper Thorvaldsen
Lead Mobile Instructor
I've been fixing broken apps in Hong Kong since 2017. Started as a contractor, ended up running support for fintech and retail clients. Teaching lets me share the mistakes I made so you don't have to repeat them.
November 2025 Program Structure
Twelve weeks, evenings and weekends, designed for people who work full-time. We know you're busy. Classes happen twice weekly with optional weekend labs when you need extra help.
Weeks 1-4: Foundations
Development environment setup, basic app architecture, navigation patterns. You'll deploy your first working app to a test device by week three.
Weeks 5-8: Real Challenges
Data persistence, API integration, authentication flows. This is where things get messier and more interesting. Expect to get stuck. That's normal.
Weeks 9-11: Production Skills
Testing strategies, performance monitoring, crash reporting, deployment processes. The unglamorous stuff that separates hobby projects from professional work.
Week 12: Portfolio Project
Build something that demonstrates what you've learned. We'll help you scope it realistically so you actually finish rather than abandoning halfway through.
What Previous Participants Say
"I thought mobile would be easy since I'd been coding for years. Wrong. The constraints are completely different. This program forced me to unlearn some habits and rethink how applications should work when resources are limited."
"Started with zero programming knowledge in early 2024. The pace was challenging but they never let anyone fall too far behind. Six months after finishing, I'm doing contract work for a logistics company fixing their delivery app."
